About Founder

"Wherever the art of medicine is loved, there is also a love of humanity."
~ Hippocrates

For over twenty years, Aimon has worked throughout the world in the field of medicine, becoming a multi-certified expert in the areas of medical science and mind-body medicine. Aimon has traveled to over thirty-eight different countries, conducting research with some of the world's most renowned physicians and educators while studying the latest in medical technology and innovation. Qi Mountain is the physical manifestation of this global work and Aimon's unique vision for a more unified approach to health. It is the embodiment of East and West, ancient and cutting-edge, a unification of mind, body, spirit, and earth.

Aimon began her own journey after graduating from the prestigious Mahidol University in Bangkok, Thailand with her degree in nursing and medical science. Soon after graduation she was honored to accept a position with the United Nations and the Office of Emergency Relief for Refugees. There she worked at the literal "front line" of medicine on the Thai-Cambodian border, a region then ravaged by the Khmer Rouge and widespread civil war. As an administrator and coordinator of a major, forward-operating hospital, Aimon saw hundreds of patients, was responsible for diagnoses and treatments, the organization and direction of triage and surgical units, and the training medical personal. Even here, in a region torn apart by war and political divisiveness, Aimon realized the limitless possibilities of medicine, the ultimate hope and well-being it could provide, along with the mental and physical balance necessary to all life.

Aimon has since gone on to obtain her further education in the United States and now serves as an internationally recognized president and founder of Qi Mountain. As an expert Tai Chi Qigong teacher, and specialist in interdisciplinary medicine and healing, Aimon understands both the strengths and shortcomings of modern medicine. Upon moving to the United States, Aimon recognized and witnessed first hand the imbalances pervasive in much of modern medicine through her ongoing work in hospitals around the nation. "I quickly saw how much medicine in this country focused only on solving health problems once they appeared," Aimon says. "It dealt very little with the mental and physical balance of the body as it related to prevention.

In 2000, Aimon founded the Qi Mountain center in Greenville, South Carolina, a physical manifestation of her osteopathic beliefs and what stands as a revolutionary and in a complementary approach to medicine. "I knew that I could unite two vastly different worlds of experience and medical knowledge, just as I have done in my own life," says Aimon. "Qi Mountain is the result of this work. This center, this philosophy and approach to living, is now my life, my own personal balance. It is a fusion of diverse passions, interests, and understanding, something truly remarkable in the field of medicine.

Incorporating the latest in medical science and the best ancient traditions, methodologies, and holistic philosophies, Qi Mountain is able to specialize in many areas of the human body and human life - many aspects of healing. "Healing, the idea, the concept of health, is not simply about the body and coaxing it to recover once a group of physical systems become dysfunctional," says Aimon. "Medicine, health in general, must address much more than this. The best medicine is not only able to cure a petient, but also protect them from future illness. The best medicine educates and enlightens a patient and puts them in control of their health and in possession of their balance." To accomplish this greater vision, Qi Mountain incorporates the nutrition, bioenergy, neurofeedback, magnetic resonance, integrative motion, whole body vibration, far-infrared, and guide visualization therapies with the traditional Asian meditative practices and philosophies of Tai Chi Qigong, Yoga, and other ancient knowledge. In doing so, Qi Mountain is able to provide a new, revolutionary outlook on health and healthcare, giving people the ability to not only heal, recover, and improve physically, but also to grow and learn mentally.

For all her work and innovation, Aimon has been honored to receive awards from the National Business and Professional Women's Foundation, the Chamber of Commerce who named her the South Carolina's Young Entrepreneur of the Year, and from Greenville Magazine which recognized Aimon as one of the area's Best and Brightest. "The success of the intitute and the help we have been able to give our clients is the greatest driving force behind my present work," Aimon says. "While honored with many professional and business accolades for all that we have accomplished at Qi Mountain, the greatest rewards are the hundreds of patients we have helped to attain physical health through mental balance, all those people who leave here feeling better, who continue to improve themselves everyday while finding and maintaining that crucial equilibrium that is central to all life."
