Mind

"The purpose of learning is growth, and our minds, unlike our bodies, can continue growing as long as we live."

~ Mortimer Adler (American Philosopher)

Mind - An Exploration of Consciousness

Awareness, thoughts, feelings, perceptions - the ability to see and explore this inner world is central to personal understanding and growth. The mind is what makes us human and what has enabled us to advance far beyond other species. But in this progression, most have forgotten the initial, biological connections that the mind and brain share with all nature. In our rise, many people have become separated from the natural world that initially nourished and informed us. Indeed, some are so detached in this respect that they lack the ability to connect to the natural, external world in any way. It is a life confined, constrained, and limited, a surface world glimpsed through a tunnel vision of hours, minutes, seconds, deadlines, and requirements.

Qi Mountain is an awakening. It provides that precious space where external forces and pressures wash away, where the mind and brain finally achieve the calm necessary to heal, grow, and balance. Qi Spas and Retreats use a combination of ancient meditative practices and state-of-the-art mind-body therapies to allow individuals to reconnect with their inner world. Specifically, Qi philosophies focus on how to explore the mind and consciousness though meditative arts, berthing exercises, Tai Chi, and Yoga, making possible the calm and inner peace that is necessary to the healing and growth processes. In conjunction, Qi technologies and therapies enable our trained experts to examine the mind through sonic vibration, music therapy, neuro-feedback, creative visualization, and the latest in neuro-science, allowing individuals to see their personal consciousness, the electrical activity and chemical composition of the brain itself, the essence of their very own being.

Actually seeing the mind, understanding and recognizing its properties and imbalances, is vital to the body's healing process. The mind, the brain, is the gateway to all that we consider possible. "If the mind is not ready to accept healing or in a mental position where it can not heal, the body will not heal," says Aimon. "The mind's intentions and unique definitions are foundational to the idea of personal health and all medicine." Therefore, Qi Mountain has designed multiple programs and therapies, led by highly trained instructors and specialists, to enable individuals to explore the most powerful component of the healing process. Only with such a comprehensive approach and understanding is complete health and growth possible.
