Qi Exploration"Body, spirit, mind, and earth cannot be separated for purposes of healing or treatment, for they are one and indivisible."~ Anonymous Inscription (Temple of Asclepios at Epidauros, Greece, Circa 350 B.C. Complete well-being requires a complete approach to medicine. It requires a unification of principles and elements that are often ignored, sacrificed, or forgotten in today's modern day society. "Whole health" necessitates an embodiment of processes as big as the universe itself all the way down to an understanding and connection to interactions at the quantum level. "Today, people find themselves in increasingly unbalanced states of existence," says Aimon. "Many, while having a very healthy body, are ill in mind. Some, while healthy in mind, ignore themselves physically or spiritually. Even those who do achieve stability in mind, body, and spirit often fail to anchor that to a point outside of themselves. They fail to establish that crucial connection to their environment and to the natural balance of the earth itself." Qi Mountain recognizes these inequities and approaches health from a new direction. Qi philosophies and teachings examine the process of healing from four elemental perspectives, properties that have existed for millennia: mind, body, spirit, and earth. Complete health, wholeness of health, can only be achieved through understanding and ultimately uniting these four areas of existence. In combining modern medical science with ancient wisdom, Qi Mountain enables people to find and maintain that equilibrium that is essential to healing, continued health, and personal growth. Mind The Inner Life: The mind is the essence of all perception, thought, feeling, and understanding. It is the most powerful component of the human body. The mind, when healthy, gives one the ability to grow and explore and achieve in areas where the physical body can not. It is central to the healing process and, when trained and focused properly, has the capability to understand aspects of our world and existence that remain hidden to many. Body The Temple: The body serves as our physical connection to the observable and material world. It is that absolute and ultimate link between the inner life and outer existence, the interface through which we as minds and spirits interact with and shape our existence. As a massively complex information processing system, the body is our sole connection to everything that we know and understand and our sole, physical link to the natural earth. Spirit The Essence: For centuries scholars, philosophers, and scientists have tried in vain to quantify and observe the spirit, the most abstract element of human existence. But of course, the spirit is ever-present. With training and practice, its connection to the world, the energies it shares with the mind and earth and body, can be felt and understood. The spirit is that part of humanity which we all share and that, if healthy and nourished, lives beyond the perceived confines of this world. Earth The Home: Humans are made of earth. It is not only our home, but also the essence of our construction. While many of us have moved and grown apart from the natural world, our connection to the earth and our dependence on it is being felt more than ever before. With the threat of climate change and the disruption of many natural processes by mankind, we as a species are quickly witnessing our interconnectedness to the environment, our dependence on the planet, our lineage from the most basic of elements of the nature. |
