Spirit"Healing is not a matter of technique or mechanism; it is a work of spirit."~ C. Everett Koop, M.D. (Former Surgeon General of the United States) Spirit - A Wisdom For millennia human kind has pondered the question and essence of existence. It is the overarching question that has innervated all branches of science since the discipline's inception. Even today, modern medicine seeks answers to these very same inquiries: Where do we come from? What are we made of? How do we function, heal, and grow? It is not surprising then that the modern words "spirit" and "science" share a common root in the ancient Greek language that means "searching to know." Qi philosophy is founded on those very practices and traditions that have existed for thousands of years and been proven to provide answers through balancing mind, spirit, body, and earth. "When you study the ancient practices of all cultures throughout the world the terminologies are different, but the basic practices and principles are the same," says Aimon "From the Greeks and Romans, to the Inca and Chinese, all traditions are focused on the movement of the physical body, the concentration of the mind, breathing, and the more complete understanding and control one can exercise in a meditative state." Indeed, spiritual wisdom, the complete understanding and knowledge of the truth, is the common bridge that enables a person to unite their four areas of existence. But this unification and wholeness is lacking for millions. "Most people today do not have the patience to connect their spirit to their mind, their body, the earth," says Aimon. "Just as we divide our lives into hours and minutes, we divide our own existence. Even when people do take them time and effort to pursue their own well-being and improvement, their sole focus becomes the future result, not the experience of the process. This is one of the ways in which we are trying to encourage people to evolve and grow." At Qi Mountain, our facilitators and educators help individuals reach that state of equilibrium in which they can examine and understand a more refined spiritual balance. While the spirit is purely unique and the relationship is an entirely personal one, Qi Mountain techniques and teachings offer ways with which to calm and open the activities of the mind. For anyone, regardless of skill level or experience, the spirit quickly becomes something that is more accessible and understandable, a wellspring capable of offering truer insights and deeper connections to the world and overall being. |
